When Porsche put its Panamera on the 94th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center, we thought it was pretty clever. Turns out Ford did the same with the Mustang, some 44 years earlier.
Unlike the Panamera lift which took place in a freight elevator with a complete automobile, Ford took apart their Mustang and shipped it in pieces, via a people elevator, to the observation deck of the Empire State Building, then reassembled it.
This Boss 302 has seen some better days.

The Boss Mustang is easily one of the most popular Ford Mustangs that have ever rolled off the assembly line. That doesn’t stop people from taking matters into their own hands though and resurrecting the Boss Mustang via aftermarket means. This is what John Kaase has done with his 2008 Mustang. With over 800 ft-lbs of torque and over 900 horsepower, there is no denying that this Mustang means business.
