In celebration of the Fourth of July, Roush Performance released some figures about just where the parts for their 2010 Roush Mustang come from. The Mustang isn’t entirely American made, but it does clock in at 86%, which, if you consider the growing trend towards globalization in the past few decades, is an incredibly high number. And, that 86% includes all of the stock Ford Mustang parts and the modifications made by Roush.
A lot of the parts, like the entire body kit, was produced in Michigan at Roush’s Livonia-based production facility. Other major parts producers for Roush are located in California, Arizona, and Ohio (the Cooper tires are also produced in Ohio). The Ford Mustang is one of the great American muscle cars, and Roush is one of the great American tuners, utilizing domestically produced parts to build their vehicles.

It’s better than most cars just like you say. I support Jack Roush for making such an incredible muscle car. I can’t wait to see what Roush Performance is going to do with the 305 horsepower V6 Mustang.

Jack Roush isn’t part of the company anymore, but it’s still a great car under the new ownership.
